Christianity from Scratch

Christianity from Scratch is a course for people exploring the Christian Faith, possibly for the first time. It assumes no prior knowledge and aims to give people a chance to examine for themselves the core beliefs, practices and experiences of Christianity.
Christianity from Scratch takes place over 8 evenings and includes a 24-hour residential. The evening meetings begin with a meal, then a presentation for about 15-20 minutes, then discussion in groups. From Session 2, each evening ends with a short act of worship (which participants may or may not choose to join in with.) The dates and venues for our course are on the main page of the website.
By the end of the course, we hope that everyone will have a clear picture of the key ideas and implications of the Christian faith message, plus some understanding of Christian religious experience and worship. We also hope that the course will help people to decide for themselves whether the Christian faith is something for them.
Christianity from Scratch will be introduced and facilitated by people who attend our three churches: St Matthew’s Church Kingsdown, Cotham Parish Church and St Paul’s Church in Clifton.
If you would like to attend the course, or would like to know more, please contact the office on 0117 944 1598 or Rev Mat Ineson (St Matthew’s) 0117 942 4186.
